Who can take part
- You have colon cancer that has spread to the liver (liver metastases) and you plan surgery to remove it
- At least one liver tumor is 3 cm or larger (about the size of a large grape)
- Your overall daily function is very good (performance status 0–1)
- You do not have cirrhosis (serious scarring of the liver)
- Your cancer spread is limited to the liver in a way that can be treated with a curative plan (no untreatable spread outside the liver)
