Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You are scheduled for elective (planned) chest or lung surgery that requires one lung to be deflated during the procedure (one-lung ventilation).
- Your health status is classified as ASA I, II, or III (generally healthy to having mild or moderate disease but not severely ill).
- You do not have a history of stroke or other cerebrovascular disease.
- You do not have pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung disease, or kidney failure.
- You are not pregnant and do not have a neuromuscular disease.
