Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have mild to moderate chronic kidney disease (stage 2-3b) with a certain kidney function level (eGFR between 30 and 90).
- You are scheduled for a specific heart surgery, such as bypass or valve surgery, where a heart-lung machine will be used.
- You are willing to use effective birth control during the study and for 3 months after.
- You have a body mass index (BMI) between 19 and 40.
