Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have a recent brain bleed (confirmed by CT or MRI) that is in the upper part of the brain and not from an injury, tumor, or abnormal blood vessel
  • The bleed is small (less than 30 mL) and you did not have surgery to remove it
  • You were diagnosed within the last 24 hours
  • You do not have a severe infection, immune disease, blood disorder, or advanced heart, liver, or kidney failure
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
