Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You had a sudden, spontaneous brain bleed (not caused by trauma or surgery) in the upper part of your brain
  • Your brain bleed happened within 48 hours before you join the study
  • Your brain bleed was confirmed by CT or MRI imaging
  • You can have an MRI scan and a special PET scan (nuclear medicine scan) safely
  • You do not have a severe life-threatening coma at the time of enrollment
