Who can take part
- You are 60 years or older
- You are having either: a complex heart surgery (like bypass plus valve repair, multiple valves, redo surgery, or aortic arch surgery) at any age 60+, OR a single bypass or single valve surgery at age 70+
- You do NOT have symptoms from a stroke or other brain blood vessel disease
- You have never had delirium (confusion after surgery or illness)
- You do NOT have dementia or severe memory problems (e.g., unable to answer simple questions)
- You do NOT have schizophrenia
