Who can take part

  • You are 65 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for a planned laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery under general anesthesia.
  • You do not have dementia or delirium before surgery.
  • You do not require extra oxygen at home, and have no severe lung or kidney problems.
  • You have not had a major neurological condition like a stroke, Parkinson's disease, or brain surgery in the past.
