Who can take part
- You are 25 years or older and willing to sign a consent form.
- You have taken medications for cancer or osteoporosis that affect bone turnover (like bisphosphonates or denosumab), or you have taken bisphosphonates for osteoporosis for over 5 years.
- You need to have one or more back teeth (premolars or molars) removed.
- You are at high risk for a jaw bone condition called MRONJ (based on dental guidelines).
- You do not currently have MRONJ in the area of the tooth removal, and you have not had radiation therapy or cancer that spread to the jaw area.
