Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 60 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with bipolar I disorder and are currently experiencing a depressive episode.
- You have been taking a mood stabilizer (lithium or valproate) at a steady dose for at least 2 weeks.
- Your depression is moderate to severe (score of 20 or higher on a standard depression scale).
- You are not currently experiencing a manic or mixed episode, and you don't have rapid cycling, substance use disorder, severe neurological illness, pregnancy, or active suicidal risk.
