Who can take part

  • You are willing and able to follow the study rules.
  • You are any age up to 99 and can come to the NIH (or connect remotely depending on your age and where you live).
  • You let researchers store your data and leftover blood/tissue samples for future studies.
  • For affected participants: You have been diagnosed with trisomy 8 mosaicism through genetic testing, OR you have inflammatory mouth or genital sores that look like trisomy 8 autoinflammatory disease.
  • For unaffected biological relatives: You are a family member without the disease, can give consent, and will provide at least one blood or tissue sample.
  • You do not have any medical condition or take any medication that the study doctor thinks would make it unsafe for you to take part.
