Who can take part
- You are 18 to 75 years old.
- You have autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) or Evans syndrome that has come back or is not responding to treatment.
- You have tried at least two immune-suppressing drugs, including rituximab (an anti-CD20 antibody), and your hemoglobin is still low (below 10 g/dL) with anemia symptoms.
- You are able to take care of yourself most of the day (ECOG score 0–2).
- You do not have active hepatitis B or C, HIV, syphilis, a history of organ transplant, serious heart problems, active infection, or a recent major surgery.
