Comparing vericiguat with standard care for heart failure
Treatments studied
Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.
This trial tests a new medicine called vericiguat against standard treatments to see if it helps people with worsening heart failure. It may be an option if you have heart failure with a weak heart pump and recently needed more medical help.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You are over 18 years old.
- You have chronic heart failure with a reduced pumping ability (left ventricular ejection fraction less than 45%).
- Your heart failure has recently gotten worse, and you have high levels of a protein called BNP or NT-proBNP in your blood.
- You have been on guideline-based heart failure medicines for at least 3 months.
- Your systolic blood pressure is at least 100 mm Hg.

This trial tests how a medication called vericiguat works in people with both chronic kidney disease and heart failure. It aims to see if the drug helps manage these conditions together.
This trial tests if adding vericiguat to standard heart failure medicines helps people hospitalized with worsening heart failure. It's for those with a weak heart pump and high NT-proBNP levels.
This study checks how safe the medicine vericiguat is for Japanese people with chronic heart failure when used in everyday care. It compares patients who receive vericiguat with patients who continue standard treatments without vericiguat.
