Who can take part
- You are 18 to 79 years old
- Your average sitting blood pressure (taken before taking your morning medication) is between 140 and 170 mmHg
- You have either uncontrolled high blood pressure (not controlled on your current medications) or resistant high blood pressure (not controlled despite taking three or more different types of blood pressure drugs)
- Your potassium level is normal (between 3.5 and 5.0 mmol/L)
- You are willing to use effective birth control if you could become pregnant or father a child, and for 4 weeks after the last dose
