Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Your BMI is 30 or higher.
  • You are already scheduled for weight loss surgery.
  • You can have an MRI scan (no metal implants, not pregnant, no severe claustrophobia).
  • You haven't had weight loss surgery before.
  • You are willing to have MRI scans before surgery and again at 3 and 12 months after.
