Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older
- You have severe aortic stenosis (a narrowed heart valve) and are scheduled for a TAVI procedure through a leg artery
- Your TAVI procedure must go smoothly, and you should be stable 6 hours after it
- You cannot have certain heart rhythm problems before the procedure (like right bundle branch block or high-grade AV block)
- Your kidney function must be reasonably good (not severe kidney disease or on dialysis)
- You must be able to walk without help and have someone at home to support you after discharge
