Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 27.5 or higher.
  • For one group: You are starting a GLP-1 medication (like tirzepatide or semaglutide) for weight loss as prescribed by your doctor.
  • For another group: You have not taken any weight loss medication in the past 3 months.
  • You do not have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device.
  • You do not have chronic kidney disease, active cancer, or certain other serious health conditions.
