School program to prevent nearsightedness in children

Who can take part

  • Your child is in grades 1 through 4 at a participating primary school.
  • Your child has some farsightedness (hyperopia) that is considered insufficient, meaning it is lower than expected for their age, which increases the risk of becoming nearsighted.
  • Your child does not have eye conditions like strabismus (crossed eyes) or amblyopia (lazy eye).
  • Your child has not received any treatment to prevent nearsightedness in the past 3 months.
  • Your child has no skin sensitivity or ear problems that would make ear acupressure unsuitable.
