Who can take part

  • You have a cleft palate that is not part of a larger syndrome or condition.
  • The cleft can be on one side or both sides, and complete or incomplete, but it is the first time you are having palate surgery.
  • You are within the age range set by the study.
  • Your parent or legal guardian must sign a consent form.
  • You do not have any bleeding disorders, active infections, or other conditions that might make surgery or anesthesia unsafe.
