Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You must have a confirmed diagnosis of ABPA based on specific criteria, including a positive skin test or blood test for Aspergillus allergy and high levels of IgE in your blood.
  • You must have had severe asthma for at least 12 months, requiring high doses of inhaled steroids plus another asthma control medicine.
  • You must have had at least 2 asthma attacks in the past year that needed treatment with steroid pills or injections.
  • You must weigh more than 40 kg (about 88 pounds).
  • You cannot have other major lung diseases like COPD or cystic fibrosis.
