Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- You are scheduled for elective (planned) laparoscopic gallbladder removal.
- You will receive general anesthesia with a breathing tube.
- You are in good health aside from your gallbladder condition (classified as ASA I or II).
- Your airway is considered easy to manage (Mallampati grade I or II).
- You have no current throat pain, hoarseness, or respiratory infection.
- You do not take steroid medicines by mouth or by inhalation.
- You are not allergic to dexamethasone or similar steroids.
