Safinamide for Parkinson's disease pain

Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old
  • You have Parkinson's disease with pain lasting more than 3 months
  • You have motor fluctuations (more than 1.5 hours of 'off' time each day) despite stable levodopa treatment
  • Your Parkinson's symptoms respond to levodopa
  • You have had pain in the last 12 weeks scoring at least 4 on a 0-10 pain scale
  • You can speak and understand Italian and are willing to follow the study procedures
