Who can take part
- You are over 18 years old.
- You have gum disease and have already had a deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) at least 5 weeks ago.
- You have a lower molar tooth with a specific type of bone loss (called furcation involvement) that leaves a pocket of 5 mm or more on the cheek side after the deep cleaning.
- You have good oral hygiene and do not smoke.
- You are free of conditions like diabetes or heart disease that require blood thinners, and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
