Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • Your gums and teeth must be generally clean and healthy before the study.
  • You need a specific type of gum defect between the roots of a lower back tooth, which the dentist will check.
  • The gum pocket depth at that spot must be at least 5 mm.
  • You must have enough firm gum tissue (at least 2 mm) at the site.
  • You cannot have certain health conditions like uncontrolled diabetes, heart disease requiring blood thinners, blood disorders, or weak immune system.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • The tooth must not have untreated root canal issues, severe mobility, or poor restorations.
