Who can take part

  • You have chronic low back pain, with or without leg pain, caused by disc degeneration or spinal stenosis
  • You have had an MRI for your back pain
  • You do not have low back pain from a specific cause like a fracture, infection, or tumor
  • You have not had recent spine surgery
  • You do not have certain conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, or nerve damage
  • You are not currently taking certain medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, or similar drugs
