Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have head and neck squamous cell carcinoma that is locally advanced and can be removed with surgery.
- You have not had any previous treatment for this cancer.
- Your general health is good (able to carry out daily activities).
- Your blood tests show adequate liver, kidney, and bone marrow function.
- You have at least one tumor that can be measured.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and if you can have children, you agree to use birth control during treatment and for 8 weeks after.
- You have not had a live vaccine within 4 weeks before starting the study.
- You do not have an active autoimmune disease or a history of one.
- You have no uncontrolled high blood pressure, serious heart problems, or active infections.
