Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the voice box (glottic laryngeal cancer).
  • Your cancer is early-stage (T1 or T2) and has not spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body (N0M0).
  • Your cancer is considered poorly differentiated (cells look very abnormal under a microscope).
  • You had surgery to remove the cancer 4 to 8 weeks ago, with the goal of curing it.
  • You have not had chemotherapy, radiation, or other cancer treatments before.
  • You are in good general health (able to care for yourself, ECOG score 0 or 1).
