Who can take part
- You have laryngeal or hypopharyngeal cancer in the specific areas listed by the study.
- Your cancer stage is T1, T2, T3, or T4 (early to advanced categories).
- You are between 18 and 90 years old.
- You do not have a severe other illness that could interfere with treatment (for example major heart/lung/brain disease or another serious cancer).
- If you could become pregnant, you must use effective birth control during the study and for at least 6 months after the last dose of cisplatin; pregnancy/lactation are not allowed.
