Who can take part

  • You have had coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery.
  • You have been diagnosed with a specific traditional Chinese medicine pattern called qi-yin deficiency, which often includes symptoms like tiredness, dry mouth, and night sweats.
  • You are not allergic to any ingredients in the herbal formula.
  • You do not have a fever or a cold right after surgery.
  • You do not have severe liver or kidney problems after surgery.
  • You did not have any other heart surgery at the same time as the bypass.
  • You do not have advanced cancer, uncontrolled infection, or severe heart failure.
