Active monitoring versus early treatment for head and neck paragangliomas

One group will receive standard care with active monitoring and treatments as needed, while the other group will have more immediate therapeutic interventions. Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a head or neck paraganglioma larger than 10 mm, confirmed by MRI or CT within the last 6 months.
  • You do not have nerve palsy (weakness/paralysis) due to the tumor.
  • You do not have signs of aggressive tumor (pain, atypical imaging, or suspicious lymph nodes).
  • You have not had radiation therapy to the neck for this condition.
