Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis by a doctor.
  • Your knee pain is at least moderate (4 or higher on a 0-10 scale) in the knee being studied.
  • Your other knee has little or no pain (2 or lower on a 0-10 scale).
  • You have not had knee surgery on either knee in the past year.
  • You have not had certain knee injections (cortisone, hyaluronic acid, or platelet-rich plasma) in the study knee recently (3-6 months).
