Who can take part

  • You have knee osteoarthritis that has been diagnosed by a doctor and confirmed by X-ray (moderate to severe).
  • Your knee has been painful for more than 3 months.
  • You can walk even though your knee hurts.
  • You have not had knee surgery before.
  • You do not have an autoimmune or blood platelet disorder.
  • You have not used anti-inflammatory pain meds (like ibuprofen) for at least 3 days before the injections, and have not had steroid shots or other knee injections in the last 6 months.
