Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- Your stroke started within the last 24 hours.
- Imaging shows a blockage in a major brain artery that can be treated with a catheter.
- Imaging also shows that a large part of the brain is already damaged, but you were able to live independently before the stroke.
- Your blood pressure can be controlled with medication.
- You do not have bleeding in the brain, severe organ failure, or a condition that limits life to less than 6 months.
