Recruiting studies
- NCT05922124RecruitingPhase 4
Testing two antibiotics against resistant lung and bloodstream infections
This trial studies whether cefiderocol plus ampicillin-sulbactam works better than colistin (sometimes with meropenem) for serious infections caused by carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (a hard-to-treat germ). It may help by finding a more effective antibiotic plan for people with these severe hospital-acquired infections.
HaifaAges 16 years+ - NCT07326540RecruitingPhase 3
Testing a new antibiotic for drug-resistant pneumonia in the hospital
This trial compares a new antibiotic (BV100 plus low-dose polymyxin B) against a standard treatment for pneumonia caused by a hard-to-treat bacteria (Acinetobacter baumannii). If you have hospital-acquired or ventilator-associated pneumonia and standard antibiotics aren't working, this study may offer a new option.

Using a blood test to guide antibiotics in aorta surgery
This trial checks if a blood test called presepsin can help doctors decide when to use antibiotics in patients having surgery on the chest's main artery (the thoracic aorta). It is for people with an aneurysm or tear in that artery.
Moscow, MoscowAges 18–75 - NCT07118384Recruiting
Comparing two antibiotics for drug-resistant infections
This trial tests two different antibiotic combinations (ampicillin/sulbactam and cefoperazone/sulbactam) to see which works better against a type of bacteria (Acinetobacter baumannii) that is resistant to many other drugs. It is for critically ill patients with signs of sepsis.

- Is Ampicillin-sulbactam an approved treatment?
- A drug being studied in a trial may be investigational (still being tested) or already approved and being studied for a new use. Each study page explains what phase it's in.
