This trial compares an IV “acid-suppressing” medicine (PPI infusion) with acid pills (oral PPIs) after doctors treat a bleeding peptic ulcer endoscopically. It may help prevent re-bleeding by keeping stomach acid low while the ulcer heals.

Comparing three medicines for severe acid reflux healing
This trial tests vonaprazan (two doses) against esomeprazole to see which better heals moderate-to-severe reflux esophagitis (a damaged esophagus from acid reflux) in 8 weeks. You may qualify if you have had heartburn or regurgitation for at least a month and your doctor found grade B, C, or D damage on an endoscopy.

Comparing two heartburn drugs after POEM surgery
This study compares two medications—vonoprazan and esomeprazole—to see which one heals acid reflux-related damage in the esophagus better after POEM surgery for achalasia. If you have had POEM and now have heartburn and moderate to severe esophagitis, this trial may help find the best treatment for you.

Comparing treatments for H. pylori infection
This trial tests whether a new type of acid-reducing drug (vonoprazan) works better than a common one (proton pump inhibitor) when combined with vitamin D or probiotics to clear H. pylori, a bacteria that can cause stomach problems. If you have H. pylori and haven't been treated for it before, this study may be for you.
