Who can take part
- You have a family member with a confirmed ALS-related gene mutation
- You do not currently have any ALS symptoms (you feel healthy from an ALS standpoint)
- Your family history suggests at least a 50% chance you carry the mutation
- You agree to genetic testing and you can choose whether or not to learn your results
- You can travel to Miami for short study visits every 12 to 24 months for tests like MRI, blood tests, possible spinal fluid test, and thinking/cognitive testing
