- You must be 18 years old or older
- If you have ALS: you must have an ALS diagnosis based on standard clinical criteria
- If you have ALS: your breathing test (FVC) should be at least 30%, or the study doctor may allow it
- You must be able to understand the study and give informed consent
- You must be able to follow study visits, tests, and at-home check-ins
- If you are healthy (no ALS): you should have no past neurological diseases and no known ALS-related gene mutation
