  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You have a neurologist-confirmed diagnosis of an ALS/FTD-related condition, or a related familial gene mutation
  • You do not have another major illness that could also explain worsening weakness or thinking problems
  • Your health is stable enough that the research team feels it is safe for you to participate
  • You can travel to the NIH for study visits
