Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You fit one group: ALS diagnosis, suspected ALS, a blood relative of someone with ALS, or a healthy control with no ALS/motor neuron history
- If you’re a patient or suspected patient: a clinician is considering ALS or a related nerve/muscle-wasting condition
- If you’re a blood relative: the relative is a parent, sibling, child, grandparent, grandchild, aunt/uncle, or first cousins (a close family member) with ALS or a related motor neuron condition
- If you’re a healthy control: you and your close blood relatives have no history of ALS or other motor neuron diseases
- You can give informed consent (or assent if needed) and participate in blood-draw procedures
