Study of stress-related body overactivity in people with PTSD

Who can take part

  • You are a veteran with PTSD, or a veteran without PTSD (controls).
  • Your blood pressure is not in the high range (prehypertensive or normal).
  • You do not have known heart or blood vessel disease.
  • You have not used illicit drugs in the past 6 months.
  • You do not drink heavily (no more than 2 alcoholic drinks per day on average).
  • You are not pregnant, and you are not using certain medicines that affect the stress system (like clonidine or MAO inhibitors in the last 14 days).
