Who can take part
- You need a transplant for a blood-forming system condition (genetic, acquired, or after strong chemotherapy/bone-marrow–wiping treatment).
- Any age and any gender can be considered.
- The cord blood unit(s) must be made by the National Cord Blood Program (NCBP).
- You must NOT be using only licensed cord blood products.
- You must NOT be using unlicensed cord blood units from other cord blood banks.
- Your transplant must be done at a transplant center in the United States, and the cord blood cannot be changed after thawing (no growth/expansion/incubation after thaw).
