Who can take part
- You have severe stiffness/weakness on the right side of your body, affecting your hand
- Hand physical therapy (kinesic treatment) has not helped enough
- A clinician test during the screening shows at least a 2-point improvement after numbing/blocking (Modified Ashworth Scale)
- You do not have severe heart (cardiovascular) problems
- You do not have severe lung (pulmonary) problems
- You do not have advanced cancer or severe joint stiffness that has “fused” (ankylosis), and no permanent scarring that has tightened the muscle
