  • Have confirmed light-chain amyloidosis involving the body or the heart (or be in a specific control group)

New Heart Scan to Detect Blood Clots in Amyloid Heart Disease

This study tests a new type of imaging scan ([64Cu]FBP8 PET) to detect blood clots that may form in the heart's left atrial appendage (a small pouch in the heart) in patients with amyloid cardiomyopathy (a disease where abnormal protein builds up in heart muscle) who also have irregular heartbeat.
