Who can take part
- You are between 35 and 75 years old.
- You have end-stage heart failure and are on the best medical therapy.
- You are in New York Heart Association class III or IV (short of breath with minimal activity or at rest).
- Your heart pumps less than 35% of blood out (ejection fraction ≤35%) as measured by MRI.
- You are a candidate for bypass surgery (CABG) or need a left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implant.
- You do not have a pacemaker, defibrillator, recent heart attack, cancer within 5 years, or active infection.
