Who can take part
- You are currently admitted to the hospital for sudden worsening of heart failure
- You are willing and able to sign consent to join the study
- You do not have certain heart rhythm problems (like second/third-degree AV block or other specified conduction issues)
- You are not pregnant and can’t be a prisoner enrolled in the study
- Your kidneys are not severely weakened (eGFR must be 30 or higher, not stage 4–5 kidney disease)
- You have not had a recent heart attack and do not have HIV or hepatitis C
