Who can take part
- You are an adult age 18 to 89
- You have a spinal cord injury at or above level T6, and it’s been more than 3 months since the injury
- You are not currently on a breathing machine (mechanical ventilation) and haven’t had one through a tracheostomy before
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- You do not have major ongoing heart, lung, liver, kidney, or serious metabolic illness
- You do not have severe breathing test problems or a history of tracheostomy, and your BMI is under 40
