Who can take part
- You are an adult with a spinal cord injury lasting more than 6 months
- Your spinal cord injury has a neurologic level range ASIA A through D
- You have signs of sleep-breathing problems (sleep-disordered breathing) and not just a normal ASIA result with no neurologic deficit
- You are not on a breathing machine that continuously supports you (except a sleep mask like PAP is allowed)
- You do not have very weak heart pumping (ejection fraction under 35%) and you have not recently had major health events like stroke, heart attack, surgery, or hospitalization
- You should not already be showing high carbon dioxide on your own breathing (end-tidal CO2 over 50 mmHg) and you can complete study procedures and consent
