Who can take part

  • You are planning to get radiation aimed to cure your cancer in the head/neck
  • Your cancer is in specific areas: nasopharynx, oropharynx, hypopharynx, larynx, or an unknown primary with neck lymph node spread
  • Your cancer stage matches one of the listed ranges (stage I to IVb, with specific notes for HPV-related oropharynx cancers)
  • You have no cancer besides your current head/neck cancer (except non-melanoma skin cancer)
  • You have not had prior head/neck cancer treatment or prior radiation to the head/neck
  • You have not had head/neck surgery before, aside from biopsy, tonsil removal, or tracheotomy
