Who can take part

  • You are age 18 or older
  • You have confirmed squamous cell cancer in the oropharynx (throat area), or it’s strongly suspected
  • Your initial plan is curative treatment with either surgery through the mouth plus neck dissection, or chemo-radiation with cisplatin
  • Your scans within the last ~16 weeks do not show cancer spread to distant organs
  • You can do study follow-ups at the study hospital and complete questionnaires by yourself (or with help)
