Carotid stent study comparing two stent positions using brain MRI

Who can take part

  • Be between 45 and 80 years old and have been approved for carotid artery stenting after a neurological check
  • Expect to live more than 6 months
  • Be able to safely get a diffusion-weighted MRI (brain MRI) as part of the study
  • Agree to sign an ethics-approved consent form and attend all required follow-up visits
  • Not be in another device or drug study that could affect the results
  • No recent stroke within 30 days and no recent heart attack within 72 hours before the stent
