Who can take part

  • You had surgery to remove an oropharynx squamous cell cancer, and the lymph nodes in the neck were surgically removed (neck dissection) on the tumor side.
  • Your pathology and doctor’s tumor-board decision require extra treatment after surgery with radiation or radiation plus chemo (adjuvant therapy).
  • Your overall health is good enough for study participation (ECOG 0–1).
  • Your surgical/biopsy details must place you in the study’s intermediate- or high-risk group.
  • You can start the planned radiation within 7 weeks after your last operation, and there is no distant spread (no metastasis).
